What can you do on a Pairing Day?

Well, you could send each other a card or postcard, maybe exchange presents. But it is most important to arrange to do something to spend time together.

So far, on my parents PDs I have toured with each of them, visiting places in the UK that were significantly for them during childhood, adolescence and early family life. Next weekend I going with my Dad to the National Maritime Museum to see some special clocks we have read about in a book called "Longitude" by Dava Sobel

On PDs with our children Wendy and I have taken them individually out to eat, to a show, to the zoo. to museums, bowling, skating. The possibilities are endless.

On my PD one year with my brother (when were both in our mid 30s) we spent the day visiting all the arcades, virtual reality places we could find in London. This year we went to a charity gig (www.globalangels.org) to see Natasha Beddingfield, Kate Melua and Ms Dynamite.

Maybe you have some ideas - in fact I'd like to post them up here.

E-mail and let me know what you think of Paring Days and what kind of things you have done, can do on them. My email is tim@pairingdays.com.
